01 Overview #

The Good

  • Exceptional Clear Speed
  • Built in Teleport
  • Fast Levelling
  • Has a built in defense passive
  • Move speed passive 

The Bad

  • Single Target is fairly weak until good gear & is honestly a bit clunky to use
  • Is quite gear dependent (but hey, which caster isnt?)

02 Season Changes #

Lamazon has taken a fair few hits from season 9. It was outperforming quite hard last season, so no surprises there.
We are getting 5% less spell crit chance and 25% less conversion from intelligence. Sounds pretty heavy, but some new stuff in the tree compensates for this.
The projectile bounce is quite annoying too, but we also scale attack speed to the moon, so it doesn't feel so bad after you get a few attacks/second.
Projectile Speed has been GIGA nerfed (unknown if intentional or not), so this will feel clunky as hell till we can build in some proj speed (or they patch it PRAYGE).

While levelling, aim for a 2/2 split on Int and Vit, you may need to throw some points into dexterity and energy (if you are missing a lot of attacks or running out of mana respectively)

  • Attack SpeedMore attacks = more hits, we also use some nodes on the tree to double dip.

Rule of thumb; Weapon = Attack Speed (Nut Rune, Uncut Jewels and Moonstone Gems). Early on take Topaz in other equipment slots. You will then swap these Topaz out for 1 Angelic Gem per equipment slot and either Chaos Gems or Elemental Gems (or a combination of both)

Star levels

When you start getting multiples of your S-tier Satanics, it might be time to attempt some star leveling. Star leveling S-tier Satanics requires Destiny Shards — used at the crafting bench, each shard has a chance to:
62%Upgrade by 1 star
26%Downgrade
12%Corrupt — all stars removed
Each star increases the stats of an item, including orange-text abilities and bonuses. It can also increase +Skill rolls that are NOT +All Skills — so +Elemental or +Physical skills can be scaled this way.

This can be done to SS-tier items too, but it requires higher-tier materials — not suggested until you have established yourself.

05 Leveling 1–100 #

Starting out, I almost always just use noxious strike. It does pretty solid damage but it is melee. You can use Astrope's Gift, but the damage is pathetic.

Just as a note:
The Warlock's Fury nodes (spell crit chance & crit dmg) do not highlight for Thunder Fury and Astrope's Gift, they DO work however. 

We'll start by grabbing some magic skill dmg, the spell crit nodes, Time surge and Agile Wizard.

If you are having attack  rating issues, you can drop in the sniper scope (but you will be much slower due to -light radius)
